After a 6-10 campaign, the New York Giants are hoping to make some more noise during the 2021 NFL season. Giants fans are especially excited about the healthy return of their star running back Saquon Barkley.

We all know that Barkley essentially missed the entire 2020 season with a torn ACL. Despite the return from injury, Barkley is being seriously underrated in the latest ProFootballFocus 2021 RB rankings.

Barkley checks in at No. 7 on these PFF rankings. Sure, that's a top-10 ranking and could be seen as great. But, Barkley was a much better running back than the seventh-best in the league over his first two seasons in the league. In fact, Barkley rushed for 1,000+ yards in each of his two seasons. This included the second-most yards from scrimmage during his rookie season (1,307).

When healthy, Barkley is considered by most to be a top-5 running back across the entire NFL. Maybe the disrespect from this recent PFF ranking stems mainly from questions surrounding his health, but Barkley and the Giants will look to make some noise in 2021. Currently, FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Giants +3100 odds to win the NFC next season.
