Clear Favorite Emerges in Odds to Be Saints' Week 1 Starting QB

Saints QB 2021
Winston is in the driver's seat in this QB battle. His odds to be the Week 1 starter have risen from -170 to -270 since the start of preseason play. On the flip side, Hill was once in striking distance, but has now fallen to +240 odds. That still gives him a chance, though he has major ground to make up if he's to earn the title of QB1.
The word out of camp on Winston has been mostly glowing so far. That's not without a few struggles from both signal-callers, but Winston's starting experience appears to have given him an edge.
Winston completed 7-of-12 attempts in the Saints' first preseason game for 96 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. Hill recorded a similar line of 8-for-12 with 81 yards and an INT.
Winston will get the start on Monday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars. A strong performance could vault him into official starter status as preseason play winds down.
