Saints Reveal Plan to Return to New Orleans
Hurricane Ida caused damage throughout the southern United States shortly before the start of the 2021 NFL season. It even forced the New Orleans Saints to play a home game in Florida. Recently, the Saints announced a plan to return to their hometown ahead of their Week 4 matchup.
The Saints have been training in Texas for the last few weeks and took down the Green Bay Packers by a score of 38-3 playing in Jacksonville. Head coach Sean Payton told reporters that the team is aiming to head back to Caesars Superdome following the team's Week 3 game in New England.
This means that the Saints would be hosting the New York Giants in the Saints' first home game since they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 playoffs. New Orleans' fans have to be excited to welcome their team back home and it wouldn't be surprising to see the stadium packed once again.
Jameis Winston and company are sure to have an upper hand once they are back in front of their fans. In fact, the Saints have posted an impressive 26-7 regular season home record since the start of the 2017 season.
New Orleans is off to a hot start and will look to keep its winning ways going on Sunday in a Week 2 showdown with the Carolina Panthers. The Saints are 3.5-point road favorites in that game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. They also have odds set at +1300 to win the NFC conference.
