Saints Restructure Ryan Ramczyk’s Contract To Free Up Big Number on Salary Cap

The New Orleans Saints still have a lot of work left to do on their cap situation this offseason. After missing out on the playoffs for two straight seasons (with a 7-10 record last year), the Saints' salary cap is a mess for 2023.
As it stands, New Orleans is still nearly $45 million over the NFL's cap space.
On Thursday, the club made another smart maneuver to help remedy this situation.
The #Saints did a conversion on RT Ryan Ramczyk’s contract, clearing another $10.336 million in 2023 salary cap space.

New Orleans converted offensive tackle Ryan Ramcyzk's contract next season in order to clear an additional $10 million in salary room. This is the second move the club made this week after restructuring center Erik McCoy's deal to create $8 million.
Two moves in one week to save $18 million in cap room is a big win for New Orleans' front office. Based on those two projections alone, the Saints are now dealing with a more reasonable number of $26 million left to cut.
Ramczyk started all 16 of the games he appeared in this season, logging just four penalties in 937 offensive snaps.
