Saints Linked to Buzzy Prospect Ahead of Draft

After a string of big additions in free agency, the New Orleans Saints will now look to supplement their roster with young talent in the NFL Draft. New Orleans has eight picks at its disposal ahead of April's event, and many are curious who the team will select when they're on the clock.

Ahead of the draft, it appears the Saints are interested in a prospect whose stock is on the rise.

Ryan Fowler of the Draft Network reports Penn State offensive lineman Juice Scruggs is generating notable buzz around the league during the pre-draft circuit. New Orleans recently met with the talented Nittany Lions standout, which could lay the groundwork for these sides to join forces.

Scruggs has the potential to be a nice late-round find. He touts massive size at 6-foot-3 and 301 pounds, giving him the frame to go toe-to-toe with defenders at the next level. The two-year starter also boasts the ability to play center or guard, which adds to his value.

Currently projections peg Scruggs as a seventh-round pick. The later stage of the draft is all about taking chances on players with potential, so it wouldn't cost New Orleans much to see what the mammoth O-lineman can do at the next level.

With five Day 3 selections in their arsenal, Scruggs could be a target for the Saints to close out draft festivities.
