The New Orleans Saints have spent the last few days practicing at the Dallas Cowboys' home, AT&T Stadium, due to Hurricane Ida hitting Louisiana. The Saints could be displaced for a while, which complicates their preparation for the start of the regular season later this month.
It turns out another Texas-based team is giving New Orleans a helping hand.
TCU will open up its facilities for the Saints' use, giving the team a steady base to operate from while they're away from home. It's not the first time TCU has been more than willing to help an NFL team, as they offered their facilities to the Cowboys in 2009 after their practice venue collapsed.
In what is a stressful time for everyone impacted by Hurricane Ida, it's nice to see this worry be solved for the Saints. Dallas will eventually need AT&T Stadium back, so this gives New Orleans a more stable solution for the time being.
The location of the Saints' Week 1 clash against the Green Bay Packers is still up in the air, but should be resolved in the coming days.
