The 2022 season has been a complete and utter disaster for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos. An elite defense has salvaged three wins for the team, but they are dangerously close to falling completely out of playoff contention thanks to a 3-6 record.
Wilson has been at the center of this dumpster fire. Between a missed game due to injury and several concerning reports about his relationship with Nathaniel Hackett, he's been a massive disappointment in his first season since coming over from the Seattle Seahawks.
On Wednesday, another concerning report arose from team insider Tyler Polumbus on his Altitude Sports Radio Denver show.
Wilson is still making embarrassing errors with the playbook, calling plays and using verbiage from his time with Seattle that make no sense to his current teammates.
It doesn't get much worse than this. Not only is the offense performing at a disastrous level, but the quarterback also still can't get on the same page with his coaching staff, players and the playbook more than halfway through the season.
Wilson needs to make major changes to his approach before it's too late. According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, it may already be past that point as the Broncos hold -3000 odds to miss the playoffs.
