Late-game execution hurt the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2. Seattle held a 24-9 halftime lead before mistakes at the end allowed the Tennessee Titans to force overtime and eventually pull off the road upset.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said after the game that he wished Russell Wilson would've checked down on the team's first drive in OT. Wilson didn't exactly agree with his coach's comments.

The QB pushed back on the notion that checking down was the right call. Wilson even noted that the deep pass to Tyler Lockett was close to being complete, so he seems to believe he made the right call.

Both wanted the same thing (a win) at the end of the day. Playing the hypothetical game doesn't help reverse the result, so it's best for the team to move on rather than linger. Still, it's just another sign of friction between Wilson and the Seahawks after an offseason headlined by a public rift.

Wilson and Carroll will look to move past the loss as they face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3. Seattle is a 1.5-point favorite ahead of Sunday's contest, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
