The MLB's Winter Meetings are officially underway and this is usually the time when we really start to see the MLB offseason kick into high gear. You have all the teams and all the GM's in one spot together, deals are made, contracts are signed and trades are agreed upon.
Jameson Taillon Cubs News
The Chicago Cubs are expected to be one of the busiest teams this offseason as they aim to take a big step in their rebuild. Pitching is a big concern for the Cubs and an area that needs some clear upgrades. One pitcher the Cubs are now being connected to is former Yankees starter, Jameson Taillon.
We have heard about a bunch of teams being interested in Taillon, whom the Yankees appear prepared to move on from. While Taillon looked unhittable at times last year, he also went through periods of struggle.
This all added up to a 14-5 record with a 3.91 ERA in 2022. Taillon could come in a fit right into the middle or back end of Chicago's rotation depending on who else they target and acquire.
It sounds like the Cubs will have plenty of competition for Taillon's services, but as of now, they are one of the teams near the top of the interest list.
