Royals 2022 MLB Schedule Revealed

While the 2021 MLB season rolls on, some teams are already looking forward to next year. Be it unfortunate injury luck or just a tough spot in the standings, the idea of a fresh chapter is exciting for some teams to envision.

On Tuesday, the league released its official 2022 schedule. Regardless of place in the standings, it's fun for baseball fans to start thinking about next year. The schedule will kick off on Thursday, March 31, 2022, with all 30 teams in action.

Some other notable schedule dates include the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, scheduled for July 19 at Dodger Stadium. Additionally, Jackie Robinson Day on April 15 features a full slate with all 30 teams playing.

One team that may be particularly excited about the 2022 campaign is the Kansas City Royals. They're currently 17.0 games back in the AL Central race.

The Royals will open the 2022 campaign with a three-game series against the Cleveland Guardians starting on March 31. Their home opener will be on Monday, April 4 against the Chicago White Sox.

Kansas City closes out its 2022 season against the Guardians on Oct. 1.
