Rookie of the Year Odds: LaMelo Ball Remains Favorite After Finalists Announced

The three finalists for NBA Rookie of the Year have been announced. LaMelo Ball (-1900) is the prohibitive favorite to win Rookie of the Year over Anthony Edwards (+1000) and Tyrese Haliburton (+13000), according to NBA Rookie of the Year odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
Edwards led all rookies in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game. He made a late push for Rookie of the Year, but the odds haven't seen much doubt since Ball returned to the lineup this month from a wrist injury that caused him to miss 21 games.
Ball won three consecutive Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month Awards to open the season in January, February and March. The 6-foot 7 guard was second behind Edwards in scoring, averaging 15.7 points per game, and second among rookies with 5.9 rebounds per game. He also recorded 6.1 assists per game and shot 43.6 percent from the field.
Haliburton also showed a ton of promise for the Sacramento Kings this season. In 58 games, he averaged 13.0 points, 5.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest. Haliburton also averaged 30.1 minutes of action each night while shooting 47.2 percent from the field and better than 40 percent from deep.
