New York Jets fans have seen enough of Zach Wilson, but unfortunately for them, Robert Saleh hasn't.

Wilson was benched yet again in Week 16 after his latest disastrous performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Saleh still isn't ready to move on from Wilson, saying, "We haven't seen the last of him."

At this point, it's unclear what else Saleh needs to see to be convinced that Wilson isn't an NFL-caliber quarterback, which many realized weeks ago. With the Jets desperately needing a win to snap their three-game losing streak and remain in the playoff hunt, Wilson turned in arguably his worst performance of the year, completing just 9-of-18 passes for 92 yards and an interception en route to his lowest Quarterback Rating (41.9) of the season.

The home crowd at MetLife Stadium started booing Wilson almost immediately, calling for backup Chris Streveler to replace him until Wilson was mercifully benched in the third quarter. By that point it was too late, however, as New York lost 19-3 and fell to 7-8 on the season, slipping to last place in the AFC East.

While Saleh is trying to be patient with the former No. 2 overall pick, the patience of the Jets' fanbase has been exhausted for some time now. The team's fans have been forced to watch more than a decade of mediocre quarterback play, from Geno Smith to Josh McCown to Sam Darnold. After two underwhelming seasons to begin his career, Wilson looks like the latest bust.

The Jets have a good team and Saleh is a good coach, but it's become obvious that their quarterback is holding them back. The sooner they realize that and shift gears, the better.

New York is now a +880 longshot to make the playoffs on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds after its latest loss. If the Jets want to keep those hopes alive, Wilson can't be allowed to see the field.
