Report Emerges on Darren Waller's Raiders Future

With the start of free agency only two weeks away, a lot of teams around the NFL are focused on clearing up cap space. That's resulted in some surprising cuts and decisions in recent days, leading some to wonder whether the Las Vegas Raiders would make similar moves with some of their high-priced stars.
According to recent reports from the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, however, that doesn't sound likely.

Las Vegas Raiders News
According to an anonymous NFL source, edge rusher Chandler Jones and tight end Darren Waller are both expected back with the Raiders in 2023 despite being two of the team's biggest cap hits.
While Waller and Jones are pricey, Las Vegas apparently feels that both are worth the money. Jones carries a cap hit of $19.3 million for 2023 but is a four-time Pro Bowler and a former Super Bowl champ, not to mention one of the team's best defensive players.
Meanwhile, Waller has a $12.0 million cap hit for 2023 but is one of the league's top tight ends when healthy. He's a former Pro Bowler as well and is an established star at a thin position.
If the Raiders do intend on shedding cap, it seems like they're going to have to look elsewhere on their roster to do so.
