K.J. Wright has been a mainstay on the Seattle Seahawks defense for the last 10 season, but remains a free agent this offseason. The veteran linebacker has been a model of consistency in the NFL and is sure to draw interest from teams in need of a spark on defense.

He put together an impressive 2020 season, racking up 86 tackles, 10 pass breakups, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble and 2.0 sacks while starting all 16 games. With that being said, here are three of the best remaining free-agent destinations for Wright.

1. Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are an up-and-coming young team that would benefit from bringing in an experienced player like Wright. They rank top five amongst NFL teams when it comes to available cap space, so there is no issue there. Plus, pairing Wright up with young linebacker Kenneth Murray would give the team a powerful one-two punch right in the middle of the defense. Wright has shown to be great against the run and in pass coverage, so this would be a great signing for the Chargers.

2. Washington Football Team

The Washington Football Team has a huge hole at linebacker to address this offseason and signing Wright to a deal would be one way to do that. In a defense already full of powerful players, Wright would fit right in as he has posted over 100 tackles in five of the last seven seasons. Wright would also make for a great mentor to young linebacker Cole Holcomb. Washington is in the mix to compete for an NFC East title next season and making a move like this could put them over the top.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles have built a reputation of not spending a lot of money at the linebacker position and relying on underwhelming players to step up. However, Wright could be a way to buck that trend without costing the team a ton of money. Signing Wright to a two- or three-year deal would give the Eagles stability at a position they desperately need it. He would immediately become one of the defensive leaders on the team and step into a role in which he can flourish as a do-it-all type of linebacker.
