Red Sox Get Encouraging Chris Sale Injury Update

While the Boston Red Sox have played better as of late, overall this season has been a major disappointment. The team still sits in 4th place in the AL East, leading only the lowly Orioles and completely out of the playoff picture.
Although one positive sign and a huge potential boost to their team is the progression of ace starting pitcher Chis Sale as he works back from a rib injury.
Chris Sale Injury Update
The plan right now is for Sale to throw a bullpen session on Tuesday and then progress to live batting practice by the end of the week on Friday.

— Robles threw a live BP yesterday. He will pitch an inning for the WooSox Tuesday in Buffalo. Hope is for him to join team Thursday.
There's no concrete target return date for Sale as of yet, but as things progress and Sale continues to pass these milestones in the rehab process, that should become more clear. It's certainly a situation every Red Sox fan is monitoring closely. Any pitching staff will be much improved by getting its ace back and the Red Sox are no different.
