As has been the norm over the past few seasons, the Tampa Bay Rays own one of the best bullpens in baseball. On the year, Tampa Bay's bullpen pitches to a 3.19 ERA, the second-lowest ERA mark across the MLB.

One of the biggest surprises for the Rays in 2021 has been the success of right-handed reliever J.P. Feyereisen. Feyereisen owns a 2.41 ERA across 21 appearances while logging 8 games finished.

However, the Rays were handed some bad injury news on their young relief arm on Wednesday. According to reports, Feyereisen is heading to the 10-day injured list with right shoulder discomfort.

Tampa Bay Rays News

It's just his second full season in the MLB, but Feyereisen has been pretty dominanting against opposing hitters this season. He's notched 3 saves in addition to his 8 games finished and owns one of the lowest ERA marks across all Tampa Bay bullpen arms.

Thanks to the concrete depth of Tampa Bay's bullepn, this team will be all right for the time that Feyereisen is out. However, they'll look to get the young arm as quickly as possible in the middle of a tight division race. Right now, the Rays sit 1.0 game bak in the AL East division with a 56-39 overall record. Tampa Bay also owns +1500 odds to win the 2021 World Series on FanDuel Sportsbook.
