The Baltimore Ravens were in danger of going 0-2 to start the year after falling to the Las Vegas Raiders and facing the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. However, Baltimore got some key performances to edge out Patrick Mahomes and company.
One of those important contributors has been recognized for their efforts.
Odafe Oweh Ravens
Rookie edge rusher Odafe Oweh has been named the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week following the win over Kansas City. Earning an honor like this just two weeks into his NFL career is a great sign of things to come for the Penn State product.
Oweh came up clutch when his team needed him. He forced Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to fumble with under two minutes left in the fourth quarter and recovered the ball, sealing Kansas City's fate. The rookie also recorded a QB hit on the day, which led to a rare interception by Mahomes.
