A slew of injuries starting back in training camp led the Baltimore Ravens to an unimpressive 8-9 campaign, their first time missing the playoffs since Lamar Jackson took over at quarterback. While a healthy Ravens roster will perform better next season, some clear issues of need presented themselves throughout the regular season.

Fortunately, ESPN's Mel Kiper has the Ravens upgrading at an important position in the first edition of his 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

Ravens Mock Draft

Kiper projects the Ravens to select Iowa Hawkeyes center Tyler Linderbaum with the No. 14 overall pick. The three-year Hawkeyes starter is considered the top center prospect in this draft and Kiper describes Linderbaum as "pro-ready right now."

Baltimore struggled mightily to protect quarterback Lamar Jackson this year. The unit allowed the second-most sacks in football (57) and was a bottom-four unit in sack percentage. Ultimately, Jackson missed the final four weeks of the season with an ankle injury after a blown blocking assignment.

Bradley Bozeman was one of the bright spots on Baltimore's offensive line, but the center will hit free-agency this offseason. Kiper also believes that Linerbaum is a true upgrade over Bozeman if slotted immediately into the starting line.

Linderbaum is the first Hawkeyes to take home the Rimington Trophy, awarded to college football's top center and has been named a preseason All-American.
