Wide receiver Marquise Brown suffered an ankle injury during the Baltimore Raven's Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders that caused him to miss practice earlier this week. Fortunately, the third-year pro rejoined the team on Friday and looks on track to play against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2.

Marquise Brown Injury Update

While Brown wasn't forced to leave the game at all in Week 1, reports say he immediately pointed out some discomfort he was feeling in his ankle after it was over. Baltimore fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the speedster participated in an agility drill during Friday's practice, without any lingering pain.

Brown logged 47 of 68 offensive snaps in Week 1 and hauled in all 6 of his targets for 69 yards to go along with 1 touchdown. The 24-year-old is also coming off the best season of his young career in which he posted 770 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns on a total of 59 touches in 2020.

Baltimore needs all the help they can get on Sunday facing a scary Kansas City squad. The Chiefs have taken home the victory in four straight games against the Ravens. Brown's ability to get open down the field could come in handy against a defense that allowed 304.0 passing yards in Week 1 (No. 23 in NFL).

Brown's health could be a key factor in Baltimore's attempt to pull off a significant upset. The Ravens are currently 3.5-point home underdogs on Sunday Night Football, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
