Ravens Get Bad News on Mark Ingram Injury

Baltimore Ravens running back Mark Ingram suffered an ankle injury back in Week 6. There was optimism that Baltimore's bye in Week 7 would help him get back up to speed in time to return against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
That timeline hit a hitch on Wednesday, however, as Ingram is still not practicing.

CB Marlon Humphrey
RB Mark Ingram (ankle)
QB Robert Griffin III
DE Calais Campbell (usual vet day)
This is tough timing, as the Ravens are trying to knock off the undefeated Steelers as they vie for the top spot in the AFC North.
The silver lining, however, is that if Ingram can't go then rookie JK Dobbins may finally get a chance to prove himself. Ingram leads the Ravens backfield with 50 carries, but he and Gus Edwards (48 carries) have both averaged 4.5 yards per rush attempt, while Dobbins (25 carries) has averaged a stellar 6.2.
It'll be an uphill battle for whoever handles the bulk of the rushing volume this week however, as the Steelers check in at No. 1 in the NFL in Football Outsiders' run defense DVOA metric.
Ingram or no Ingram, FanDuel Sportsbook has the Ravens as 3.5-point home favorites for this one.
