Rashaad Penny had been in the midst of arguably the best stretch of his career, but he left Week 14 due to a knee injury, and has already been ruled out for the remainder of the Seattle Seahawks' game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The fact that Penny was ruled out so quickly is not a good sign for his health going forward. If Penny isn't able to suit up in Week 15, Chris Carson's fantasy outlook would skyrocket just in time for the fantasy football playoffs.

Chris Carson Fantasy Outlook

Penny had been significantly cutting into Carson's workload recently, averaging 14.5 carries per game over the last two weeks after seeing double-digit rushing attempts just once over the first 10 weeks of the season.

That clearly impacted Carson's production, as Carson was averaging 20.0 rushing attempts over the first 10 weeks of the year, compared to 15.5 over his last two games.

The Seahawks' upcoming schedule is really promising for their running backs. Seattle takes on the Carolina Panthers in Week 15, and faces the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. Carolina has surrendered the league's most fantasy points per game to opposing running backs, while Arizona has allowed the 12th-most points to the position.

If Penny misses either of those games, Carson will likely see a significant uptick in usage, which gives him the chance to dominate some softer matchups in the fantasy football playoffs.
