The 2021-22 NFL Playoffs' Conference Championship Round is here, meaning we're only a few days away from finding out which two teams will square off at Super Bowl 56.

There are a total of four different combinations we can see at SoFi Stadium next month, with each matchup being entertaining in its own way. Keeping that in mind, there are surely some matchups that fans would like to see over others.

Here's a look at the rankings for the best potential Super Bowl 56 matchups.

Potential Super Bowl 56 Matchups

1. San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs

Everyone loves Super Bowl matchups that already have storylines built into them, so look no further than a potential 49ers vs Chiefs showdown. These two teams recently collided just a couple of seasons ago at Super Bowl 54, which ended with Kansas City winning its first title in 50 years. The 49ers now have a healthier team and the emergence of Deebo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell would certainly give them a fighting chance. Nobody expected them to make it this far, so a win over the juggernaut Chiefs would be the perfect way to cap off San Francisco's improbable season. On the other hand, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs could cement their dominance with their second Super Bowl victory in three seasons.

2. Los Angeles Rams vs Kansas City Chiefs

If fans want to see some fireworks at Super Bowl 56, a Rams vs Chiefs collision should satisfy those needs. Both teams boast some of the best offenses in the NFL, with Kansas City and Los Angeles sitting fourth and sixth, respectively, in league scoring. Cooper Kupp is the best wide receiver in the league, while Mahomes and Travis Kelce are two of the best at their positions. In theory, the Super Bowl is supposed to showcase the best talent that the NFL has to offer and it doesn't get better than the complete rosters that Chiefs and Rams bring.

3. Los Angeles Rams vs Cincinnati Bengals

Another potential Super Bowl 56 that can satisfy fans' offensive cravings would be a clash between the Rams and Bengals. It would be fun to watch Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and the rest of the Bengals play the Rams in their home stadium. Cincinnati had a late-season surge to get to this point and they've been shocking their doubters at every corner. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has all the tools to shut their opponents down on both sides of the ball. The Rams would love to win a Super Bowl in front of their home crowd, however, it could be equally as entertaining to see Burrow and co. pull off another upset — this time on football's biggest stage.

4. San Francisco 49ers vs Cincinnati Bengals

Even though this potential Super Bowl 56 matchup ranks last, it doesn't mean that it wouldn't make for an entertaining game. Neither team was expected to make it to the final four, but here they are. The 49ers have one of the best rushing attacks in the NFL, while the Bengals have proven lately that they can beat any team they want through the air. There's also historical significance behind this potential matchup. Cincinnati's only two Super Bowl appearances (21 and 23) ended in losses to the 49ers. While that was nearly 40 years ago, getting some sort of revenge would be better late than never.
