The Los Angels Rams' running back room has been a source of constant news and drama this season, and that continues with the latest shake-up on Saturday.
Veteran Malcolm Brown has been waived to make room for Kyren Williams, who was activated from injured reserve.
A fifth-round pick out of Notre Dame in the 2022 NFL Draft, Williams played only one special teams snap in Week 1, suffering an ankle injury that landed him on the IR.
Brown, who spent last season with the Miami Dolphins after opening his career playing six seasons with the Rams, was signed and eventually activated in Week 4. He's only played a small role on offense (14 carries over the last three games), but had also played at least 20% of the team's special teams snaps in each of his five games.
He appeared to be ahead of Cam Akers on the depth chart last week (playing 16 snaps to Akers' 11), so there's a real chance that Williams also steps in ahead of Akers once he's got his legs under him again.
This move doesn't have any impact on the betting odds in Week 10, where FanDuel Sportsbook has the Rams as 3-point home favorites over the Arizona Cardinals.
