The Los Angeles Rams became 0-2 on the 2021 NFL preseason after suffering a 17-16 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday. Now, the Rams faced some tough decisions this week with the second training camp cut date approaching.

Los Angeles has waived three players ahead of Tuesday's cutdown date.

The Rams released three players to get down to 82 players: running back Raymond Calais, quarterback Devlin Hodges and defensive back Paris Ford. A seventh-round pick in 2020, Calais was carted off of the field during the Rams' loss to the Raiders due to a serious ankle injury. The 23-year-old has since undergone surgery and is expected to be out for four-to-six months.

Ford was an undrafted free agent this year and was signed by Los Angeles back in early May. Meanwhile, Hodges' release was the "biggest" of the three. The 25-year-old signal-caller most recently started in six games for the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2019, throwing for 1,063 passing yards and 5 touchdowns to 8 interceptions in that span.

The Rams still need to make two more roster moves to get down to the league-mandated 80-man roster heading into the last week of the regular season.
