Los Angeles Rams running back Darrell Henderson is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to a rib cartilage injury. While there's a chance that he could end up playing, the Rams brought in an insurance policy on Saturday by signing RB Buddy Howell off of the practice squad.

Darrell Henderson Injury Update

Howell was with the Houston Texans organization over the past three seasons. Most of that time was spent playing on the special teams unit, however, he also saw 21 rushing attempts for 64 yards as well as one three-yard reception.

If Henderson is forced to miss Sunday's contest, the bulk of the rushing duties will likely be left to veteran RB Sony Michel. The fourth-year veteran has played 17% of the Rams' offensive snaps this year, rushing the ball 11 times for 48 yards and two first downs.

At the end of the day, any of Los Angeles' running backs will be in for a tough test against the Buccaneers in Week 3. Tampa Bay is surrendering the second-fewest rushing yards per game (57.5) so far while giving up just one touchdown on the ground.

The Buccaneers are favored to win on Sunday at -126 odds while the Rams' shot at victory sits at +108, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
