Now that the NFL Draft has come and gone, attention and anticipation is building for the 2022 NFL Season. The league office revealed dates and opponents for next year's international series, and the full schedule will be dropped on Thursday, May 12, but fans already know the opponents their favorite team will play on their 2022 schedule, but in no specific dates or order.

Fresh off a disappointing Wild Card loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Derek Carr and his team are ready to take another huge step forward thanks to the additions of new head coach Josh McDaniels and a couple of news stars, mainly Davante Adams.

Unfortunately for Las Vegas, it's not going to be easy going in Raider country.

Raiders Schedule 2022

Sports Illustrated's Zach Koons put together a strength of schedule metric based on the known opponents and their 2021 regular-season records. It's a doozy for Las Vegas, who ranks with the 7th-hardest schedule across all 32 franchises.

2022 NFL Schedule

It should be understood that several faces and names have swapped teams this offseason, but gives Las Vegas fans a good idea what's in store in 2022: a brutal schedule. Playing six games in the uber-competitive AFC West is just a recent fact of life for Carr and his squad.

Las Vegas is also due for matchups against the AFC South and NFC West divisions. The NFC West highlights the more difficult batch, considering three of those teams (Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers) notched 10+ wins apiece, and the Rams went on to win the Super Bowl.

Regardless of the schedule, the Raiders are up for the task. The oddsmakers have clearly taken note of this brutal schedule, giving Las Vegas just +4000 odds to win Super Bowl 57. Those chances rank T-17th across the NFL in FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
