The Raiders have made the move to Las Vegas this offseason, hoping the change of scenery can help spark the level of play that was expected when Jon Gruden returned to the franchise. In order to run the offense he envisions, Gruden and the Raiders needed to add more playmakers to the offense. They found one with their first-round pick.

With the No. 12 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Raiders selected wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, former receiver for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Ruggs has game-breaking speed. He ran a 4.27-second 40-yard-dash time, which was the fastest recorded time in this draft class. This is also the fourth-fastest clocked time since 2006.

Aside from the pure speed, Ruggs also recorded a 42-inch vertical, making him the only player since 2006 to have a vertical of over 40 inches and a sub-4.3 40 time.

Ruggs is expected to be plugged into the starting lineup as a rookie, which changes the entire offense. Defenses have to respect his speed on the outside. If they don't Derek Carr could be totaling many long touchdown passes. This opens up running lanes for Josh Jacobs, as well as the middle of the field for athletic tight end Darren Waller.

The Las Vegas era for the Raiders is beginning, and this new look offense could surprise a lot of people.
