Raiders Being Disrespected by Projected 2021 Win Total

The Las Vegas Raiders want to turn the page after last year's 8-8 finish. Las Vegas hasn't made the playoffs since 2016. Despite some of the recent struggles, this team doesn't lack talent and their projected win total from FanDuel Sportsbook is just disrespectful.

The Raiders' projected win total is set at 6.5, which ranks as the sixth-lowest figure in the entire league, according to NFL odds posted from FanDuel Sportsbook. To illustrat how low this projected win total truly is, consider that the five teams ranked below the Raiders combined for only 16 victories last season. That's about three wins per squad.
Las Vegas Raiders Projected Win Total
The Raiders looked much better than an eight-win team last season, at least in terms of offense. Las Vegas ranked as the league's eighth-best offense and put up 383.3 yards per game on offense. This included 27.1 points per game.
Unfortunately, the Raiders' defense was an entirely different story. The defense allowed 29.9 points per game by opponents, a number that ranked as the third-worst mark in the entire league. The Raiders addressed this issue in the offseason with five of their seven 2021 NFL Draft picks coming from that side of the ball.
With Las Vegas attempting to revamp its defense, this win projection of 6.5 is pretty disrespectful. The Raiders enjoyed a lethal offense in 2020 with quarterback Derek Carr throwing 4,000-plus yards and running back Josh Jacobs adding another 1,000-plus yards on the ground.
