Raheem Mostert looks poised for a monster season. We just named him as one of our most undervalued players in the post-draft process, telling fantasy managers to go out and trade for him while they still can.

But, it looks like that window might've closed a bit early. Heading into Week 1, the San Francsico 49ers revealed that Trey Sermon is a healthy scratch. In other words, this is Mostert's backfield, and he should feast in Week 1.

Now the unquestioned leader in this backfield (at least for Week 1), Mostert also draws a very beatable matchup. He'll face the Detroit Lions, who were the league's sixth-worst defense against the run last year, by DVOA.

Detroit also surrendered more PPR points per game to opposing running backs than any other team in the league.

He should also see plenty of volume this week, as the 49ers will likely get to take a very run-heavy approach as 8.5-point favorites.

Set to handle bell-cow duties, Mostert is a high-end RB2 who has a shot to return RB1 value in the season opener.
