Raheem Mostert Injury Update
Mostert has been cleared to participate in training camp. It is great news for a veteran that was forced to watch his teammates learn a new offense throughout minicamp and OTAs. It's a scheme Mostert is already familiar with, though, given the time he spent with head coach Mike McDaniel in San Francisco.
There's no denying that it's been an up-and-down career for the eight-year pro. Mostert entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2015 and saw little playing time until 2018. However, he has excelled since that point, averaging 5.7 yards per rushing attempt and 10.0 yards per reception.
The 30-year-old's best season came in 2019, when he rushed for 772 yards and 8 touchdowns on 137 carries with the 49ers. Mostert showed off his versatility by posting 180 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 receptions as well.
The Dolphins signed Mostert a one-year deal worth $3.1 million and he joins a RB room that also features Chase Edmonds, Sony Michel, Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed. The pecking order in the backfield is far from locked in, so look for Mostert to do anything he can to grab he starting role.
Miami has odds set at +4000 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
