Last week, there were a total of six games in which both teams combined to score at least 50 points. That could prove tough to repeat in Week 4, but there are plenty of games with some serious shootout potential.
With that in mind, here are three games that could be seriously high-scoring affairs in Week 4.

3. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Detroit Lions (O/U: 53.5)
As long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field, the Kansas City Chiefs will likely be contenders for this list every week. The Chiefs are averaging 33.7 points per game (PPG) thus far, and they're facing a Detroit Lions' offense that has been more competent than many expected. Detroit is coming off a 27-point performance against the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Lions have scored at least 27 points in two of their three games thus far. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have scored at least 28 points in all three of their games and reached this combined total in two of those three.
2. Carolina Panthers vs. Houston Texans (O/U: 47.5)
Even though both teams sport talented defenses, these two have played in some pretty high-scoring affairs thus far. The Carolina Panthers and their opponents have exceeded 48 combined points in two of three games thus far, while the Houston Texans have scored at least 27 points in two of their three games. The Panthers' new starting QB, Kyle Allen, played quite well in his debut this season last Sunday, throwing for four TDs against the Arizona Cardinals. With two top-12 scoring offenses taking the field here, this game has shootout potential.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Los Angeles Rams (O/U: 48.5)
Jared Goff has gotten off to a bit of a slow start, but this Los Angeles Rams' offense has still been rolling. Los Angeles is averaging 25.7 PPG (No. 8 in the NFL) and it's facing a Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offense that has potentially found its footing after a 31-point performance in Week 3. Tampa Bay has also surrendered at least 31 points in two of its three games, and the Buccaneers' leaky defense could point to this game being a high-scoring affair.
