Week 2 of the 2019 NFL season might not have seen nearly as many points as Week 1 did, but there were still some high-scoring affairs. The New England Patriots scored 43 points against the Miami Dolphins and the San Francisco 49ers put up 41 while visiting the Cincinnati Bengals, a team that added another 17 for the highest total of Week 2 (59 points).

Week 3's slate of games has potential for some more high-scoring contests with the Kansas City Chiefs playing at home for the first time this season and the New York Giants, led by their new starting QB Daniel Jones, heading to Tampa Bay. With that in mind, here are three games that could turn into shootouts this weekend.

1. Baltimore Ravens @ Kansas City Chiefs (O/U: 53)

The Baltimore Ravens come into this matchup with the league's top-scoring offense, averaging 41.0 points per game (PPG), with the Kansas City Chiefs not far behind, at 34.0 PPG. This one projects to be the highest-scoring game of the week, with an over/under total of 53 points, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. These two teams just last season, in a Week 14 game that saw Kansas City come away with a 27-24 overtime win. While that would have put them a couple of points under this total, the Ravens' offense looks to be improved with a more polished Lamar Jackson leading the way. Going up against a leaky Chiefs defense could mean we'll see lots of points on the board at Arrowhead Stadium come Sunday.

2. Los Angeles Rams @ Cleveland Browns (O/U: 49)

The much-hyped Cleveland Browns got their first win of the season in Week 2 on "Monday Night Football," scoring 23 points against an injury-ravaged New York Jets team. This week, they take on the Los Angeles Rams on "Sunday Night Football," a team that averages 28.5 PPG through two weeks. The Browns have also given up 23.0 PPG in their first two games. With this game being played in primetime, and the likes of Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. shining the brightest in games like this, an uptick in scoring isn't out of the question here.

3. Houston Texans @ Los Angeles Chargers (O/U: 48)

This is a battle of two teams averaging at least 20 points per game this season. The Houston Texans got into a shootout with the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, losing 30-28, but followed it up with a 13-point performance in Week 2 against a tough Jacksonville Jaguars defense. The Los Angeles Chargers had similar outputs. In Week 1, the Bolts netted 30 points in a win over the Indianapolis Colts, with just 10 points in a Week 2 loss at the Detroit Lions. With one of higher over/under totals of the weekend, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, if these two teams play to the back of their baseball cards, then we can likely expect a high-scoring contest on Sunday.
