With Brandon Allen replacing Joe Flacco at QB in Week 9, there's reason to be concerned about the fantasy outlook of the Denver Broncos' offense against the Cleveland Browns.

Lead back Phillip Lindsay's fantasy value isn't likely to take a big hit though, and he remains a strong play on Sunday.

After finishing 13th among RBs in PPR points per game as a rookie in 2018, he's cooled off some in 2019. He still sits 16th though, with an average of 14.3 per game.

He's split snaps nearly evenly in the Broncos' backfield with Royce Freeman this year, but Lindsay has proven to be the superior fantasy asset. Freeman has played 289 snaps to Lindsay's 257 in 2019, but Lindsay has a big edge in rush attempts (109 to 88) and their target numbers are nearly identical (33 for Freeman, 32 for Lindsay).

Despite their potential downgrade at QB, the Broncos' offense is still in a reasonable spot for Week 9. Cleveland ranks 21st in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA rankings, sitting below average both against the run and the pass. These defensive struggles have them allowing the 10th-most PPR fantasy points per game to opposing RBs.

The touchdown upside available in the Denver offense may have taken a hit, but they already ranked 28th in the NFL in points per game with Flacco at the helm, so that's not a big shift for Lindsay.

With a solid matchup this week, Lindsay sits at RB16 in our Week 9 PPR fantasy football rankings.
