The Philadelphia Phillies had one of those nights on Tuesday. Not only did the Phillies drop a 5-3 contest to the Los Angeles Dodgers and fall below .500 on the year (32-33), but superstar Bryce Harper left the game early with lower back tightness.

To top it all off, second baseman Jean Segura left the game (also early) later on in the ninth inning. According to reports, Segura suffered left groin strain that manager Joe Girardi did not provide a positive update on.

Following the contest, Girardi told media that he wasn't "confident that's day to day," in regards to Segura's injury. Groin injuries are always scary for professional athletes and often take added time to gain back full strength.

The Phillies haven't made a decision on whether Segura will land on the injured list or not, but this is worrisome news nonetheless. The 31-year-old second baseman has been sensational for the Phillies this season, slashing .332/.379/.465 with 12 doubles, 2 triples, 6 stolen bases and 20 RBIs in 49 games.

The Phillies hold the third-best odds to win the NL East division (+950), according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Getting Segura and Harper back fully healthy will likely be a top priority in Philly.
