Phillies Have the Fastest Player in Baseball

The 2020 MLB season has probably left a bitter taste in the mouths of Philadelphia Phillies fans, as their squad went 28-32 and missed the playoffs.
There were some bright spots, however, and that includes this incredibly cool feat from outfielder Roman Quinn.

#1 in Home to first (3.94 sec)
#1 in 30 yard dash (3.68 sec in 90 feet)
#2 in Sprint Speed (30.5 feet/sec)
#2 in Bolts ratio (29 bolts to 32 competitive runs)
Tim Locastro close behind:
#12, #2, #1, #1 respectively
Engel/Buxton/Turner close.
Quinn blew away the field in the advanced stats to measure player speed. The Arizona Diamondbacks' Tim Locastro gave Quinn a run for his money, but in the end it's the 27-year-old Quinn that secured the title of 'fastest man in baseball'.
Of course, that speed only means so much when a player can't get on base. Hitting for just a .213 average while walking on only 4.3 percent of his plate appearances (way down from 9.8 percent in 2019), Quinn didn't get a ton of chances to show off those wheels.

His lowly .261 on-base percentage does make it that much more impressive that he was able to swipe 12 bags in 41 games, however. For the second straight season, he was also not caught stealing a single time.
This was a disappointing season in Philly, but this fun stat is at least an interesting bright spot.
