PFF Projects Surprising Pick for Bengals at No. 5 in 2021 NFL Draft

The Cincinnati Bengals are in a really interesting position heading into the 2021 NFL Draft. With the first three (and perhaps even four) picks likely to be quarterbacks, the Bengals might be picking the first position player off the board.
While most draft analysts have Cincinnati picking Penei Sewell or Ja'Marr Chase, ProFootballFocus has the organization going in a different direction. PFF has the Bengals picking Kyle Pitts at No. 5.

Pitts would definitely fill a need for the Bengals. The team has a pretty clear need at the position, and the Florida Gator is generally viewed to be a generational talent at tight end.
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound tight end ran the 40-yard dash in 4.44 seconds, which is ridiculous for someone of that size. He also has the production to back it up. Pitts dominated SEC opponents last season, racking up 770 yards and 12 touchdowns through eight appearances.
While the Bengals do need help on the offensive line, it could be tough to pass up a talent like Pitts at No. 5.
