The Kansas City Chiefs have taken steps to improve their offensive line this offseason after a poor showing in Super Bowl LV. Signing top guard Joe Thuney was a great start, and they're set to bring in veteran Kyle Long as well after his retirement and a one-year absence.

The Chiefs' work isn't done yet though, and Pro Football Focus has them taking an exciting offensive tackle talent in their latest mock draft.

Sam Cosmi Chiefs

PFF sees Kansas City selecting Texas OT Sam Cosmi with the No. 31 pick in this year's draft. In a stacked offensive tackle draft class, Cosmi may be available towards the end of the first round, which is good news for the Chiefs.

At 6-foot-7, 309 pounds, Cosmi is a mountain of a man to have protecting Patrick Mahomes. Immediately stepping in as a starter for the Longhorns as a freshman in 2018, Cosmi is one of the more experienced OT prospects, playing 2,623 snaps over his three-year career. He got better each year, too, improving his PFF grade from 79.7 to 83.9 as sophomore, then to 90.8 in 2020.

Cosmi has been praised for his natural athleticism and physicality, which is exactly what the Chiefs could use on their O-line as they hope to give Mahomes better protection in 2021.
