Peter King Reveals Surprising Draft Projection for Falcons at No. 4
By Max Staley

The Atlanta Falcons are in a strange position this offseason. With an offense led by Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, this team has too much firepower to be picking in the top five of the 2021 NFL Draft.
While there have been plenty of rumors suggesting the Falcons are looking to trade down, as they could be getting a haul from a QB-needy team, it sounds like Atlanta might have a different plan in mind.
NFL insider Peter King reports that if the Falcons do stay at No. 4, they could be targeting Florida tight end Kyle Pitts.
Kyle Pitts Falcons
This seems to be a bit unconventional given the makeup of Atlanta's roster, but it actually makes a ton of sense.
Yes, the offense is already loaded. And yes, the defense has some real holes. But no rookie is going to come in and singlehandedly fix this unit. Instead, the Falcons could pick Pitts and build on a strength, giving Atlanta one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL.
With Pitts in the mix, Matt Ryan would be throwing to Jones, Ridley, and one of the most talented TE prospects we've seen this decade. If the O-Line can survive the loss of center Alex Mack, that's a recipe for a legitimate top-five offense.
That could get this team back into playoff contention a whole lot quicker than trying to patch up some holes on defense.
