Pete Carroll has been one of the most successful head coaches in the NFL since taking the Seattle Seahawks coaching job in 2010.

He's been coaching football since 1973, when he served as a graduate assistant with the University of Pacific at 22 years old. Before that, Carroll was a standout multi-sport athlete at Redwood High School in Larkspur, California.

Wow, talk about a throwback. It's no surprise that Carroll looks almost unrecognizable in these shots from 50 years ago, but they are incredibly cool to see.

Carroll did it all at Redwood, playing both sides of the ball in football (quarterback and defensive back) while also playing on the school's baseball and basketball teams. Unsurprisingly, he was the school's Athlete of the Year in his senior season in 1969.

Fast forwarding back to 2020, Carroll will be looking to lead the Seahawks to their third Super Bowl appearance since he took over as head coach.
