Perhaps no one on the Minnesota Vikings wanted a win in Week 8 more than Patrick Peterson. It was a revenge game for the accomplished veteran after his sour exit from Arizona, and he got the last laugh over his old team by helping Minnesota secure a 34-26 victory.
After the emotional win, Peterson threw some shade at former teammate Kyler Murray.
The cornerback was spotted doing a video game celebration during Sunday's matchup. When asked about it, Peterson said it was a reference to Call of Duty. Murray's affinity for that video game franchise has been well-documented, so it's clear Peterson was sending a message by mentioning COD specifically.
The veteran CB didn't stop there, though. He also made sure to call out the Cardinals' organization for some disrespectful behavior during his tenure.
It's very obvious Peterson isn't letting Arizona slide for the way he was treated at end of his time there. The split did allow Peterson to land in Minnesota, though, where he's made an impact as a starter over the last one and a half seasons.
The Vikings' win on Sunday pushed their record to an impressive 6-1, only trailing the 7-0 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC. The Cardinals, meanwhile, dropped to just 3-5.
