It's been no secret that Patrick Mahomes has been navigating the concussion protocol all week after suffering a neck injury in the Divisional Round.

But it was revealed on Sunday morning that it was actually another injury that was impacting him more all week as he prepared for the AFC Championship matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

Patrick Mahomes Injury Status — Turf Toe

On Sunday morning, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed that Patrick Mahomes is suffering from turf toe. He will play through the injury, but the ailment has hampered his preparation all week for Sunday's game against the Bills.

Most players are dealing with an assortment of ailments at this stage of the season, but this is a pretty serious one. Spending the week in concussion protocol and also battling turf toe could have a serious impact on Mahomes' play. It also shows just how tough the 25-year-old superstar is.
