Coming off a season in which he threw for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns on his way to the NFL MVP Award, Kansas City Chiefs' QB Patrick Mahomes is the initial favorite to lead the league in both passing touchdowns and passing yards in 2019, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

While Mahomes led the NFL in passing touchdowns with 50 in 2018, 11 more than Andrew Luck's second-best 39, the third-year QB will likely regress a bit in 2019. He'll be without star wideout Tyreek Hill, as he faces an indefinite suspension, a player who accounted for almost 30 percent of his passing yards (1,479) and almost a quarter of his touchdowns (12) last season.

Mahomes is still the initial favorite, with +360 odds, followed by Luck and Matt Ryan, who are tied with +420 odds to lead the league in regular season passing TDs.

It those same three QBs atop the odds for most regular season passing yards, but in a slightly different order.

Mahomes has the same +360 odds, followed by Ryan (+500) and Luck (+700). The league leader in passing yards from last season, Ben Roethlisberger, is +800 to repeat, tied in odds with Aaron Rodgers. Plus, Tom Brady, the 2017 leader in passing yards, has the same odds as another all-time great in Drew Brees (+1600).

One other notable inclusion in the top nine, when it comes to the odds to lead the league in passing yards, is Browns' QB Baker Mayfield at +1500. In addition to an already solid supporting cast returning to Cleveland, the second-year signal-caller comes into the 2019 season with a bevy of new weapons at his disposal, including Odell Beckham Jr.

With passing numbers continually increasing each and every season in the NFL, we'll have to wait and see which gunslinger comes out on top in these two categories come season's end.
