Pat Hughes Had Hilarious Reaction to Nolan Arenado's Ejection on Wednesday

Wednesday turned out to be a very special day for Chicago Cubs radio announcer Pat Hughes. The longtime voice of Cubs baseball found out during Chicago's game against the St. Louis Cardinals that he'd be inducted into the team's Hall of Fame.
In the same inning he read the announcement of his induction, Cardinals star Nolan Arenado was ejected. Hughes thought that was the perfect way to cap off the celebration.

Hughes had a hilarious response to that moment after the game. He quipped "I'm glad to see him go" because "that gives us a better chance of winning." Spoken like a true Cubs legend.
Hughes joined the Cubs' broadcast in 1996 after previously working for the Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers. His call at the end of the 2016 World Series, which broke Chicago's 108-year drought, will forever be remembered among fans,
The legendary radio man will be inducted into the Cubs Hall of Fame alongside the late Buck O'Neil and former outfielder José Cardenal. The official event will take place on Sept. 10, when that trio will each have plaques put up in the left-field concourse to celebrate their contributions to the franchise,
