Parker Washington has been an exciting wide receiver to watch during his three-year stay at Penn State, earning him some well-deserved hype ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft. He's far from the top prospect at his position this year, but that doesn't mean he won't make an impact somewhere.

Here's everything you need to know about Parker Washington heading into the 2023 NFL Draft.

Parker Washington Scouting Report

Parker Washington didn't put up a huge stat line in 2022, but it was still solid, nonetheless. Suiting up in 10 games last fall, the Penn State wideout finished with 611 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns on 46 catches. He also returned 18 punts for 99 yards, averaging 5.5 yards per return.

Washington's frame is intriguing, standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 204 pounds. He's strong and tough to take down, also possessing solid vision that helps him find holes. He knows how to adjust his body to make tough catches, as well, especially those closer to the ground. His no-quit attitude will make him popular wherever he goes.

Washington isn't perfect, though. He's not the fastest wideout, lacking the explosiveness to take his speed to the next level. He's not the best route runner either, highlighted by the fact that he primarily played in the slot during his time at Penn State. His separation tactics could also use improvement.

Parker Washington NFL Draft Prediction

Parker Washington's draft stock points to his being a Day 3 selection. While NFL.com has him going off the board in Round 3, his lack of versatility and speed make that unlikely. Still, he should wind up being a starting slot WR one day.

The Green Bay Packers are one team that must consider drafting Washington. After all, the Packers' WR room is essentially just Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs at the moment. If they want quarterback Jordan Love to succeed in his first campaign as a starter, it wouldn't hurt to bring in the Penn State product.

The Packers likely won't be playing many meaningful games this year, meaning Washington could grow in a low-pressure environment. Besides, he'd see a decent amount of reps as the WR3/4, which might not happen on another team with more depth at the position.

Prediction: Green Bay Packers (Round 4, 116th overall)
