Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dominating NFL headlines right now. Rumors continue to swirl regarding his unhappiness with the Packers and whether or not he will return to the field to be their starter in 2021. Of course, this has caused the team's Super Bowl odds to plummet.
The Packers opened the offseason tied for the third-best odds to take home the Lombardi Trophy next season at +1200, according to NFL future odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook. However, they have since dropped all the way down to the seventh-best odds at +1600.
Packers Super Bowl Odds
There is no question that Rodgers is the main reason why the Packers have been able to make the NFC Championship game in each of the last two seasons. He is the reigning NFL MVP and has been playing some of the best football of his career in over the last few years.
While that may be true, Rodgers is still at war with the Packers' front office regarding any kind of contract extension moving forward. Head coach Matt LaFleur seems to be preparing as if his star signal-caller will be back and ready to lead this team to the promised land, but no one truly knows yet.
Rodgers deciding that he doesn't want to be a part of this Packers team any longer would obviously be a massive loss. Because of that, it wouldn't be surprising to see these odds continue to free fall until there is a clear solution to everything that is going on here.
