With the matchup for Super Bowl 57 now set between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, players from both teams will no longer be able to participate in this weekend's Pro Bowl. Accordingly, the NFL must choose players off the alternates list to take their place.

One of those last-minute replacements for the NFC roster is Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins.

Elgton Jenkins Pro Bowl

Jenkins, 27, will fill in for Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson as he prepares to face the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

This is the second Pro Bowl selection of Jenkins' four-year career. He was also chosen for the game during the 2020 campaign.

Jenkins returned to form this year after missing roughly half of the 2021 season with a torn ACL. He made a full recovery and bounced back to start 15 games this year, appearing in 99% of the offensive snaps when he did play. While he did most of his work in the trenches protecting Aaron Rodgers as part of an O-line that allowed the seventh-fewest sacks in the NFL (32), he also scooped up his first career fumble recovery during Green Bay's Week 4 win over the New England Patriots.

The big Mississippi State product was recently rewarded with a four-year, $68 million contract extension in December, locking him up to be a key part of the Packers' offensive line for years to come.
