There's no denying that head coach Lincoln Riley and his Sooners are one of the first-class programs in college football. This team has finished in the top-5 of the AP Top-25 ratings for six straight years. Riley is 45-8 in his four years as head coach and looks to make another big statement in 2021.
Rattler will play a huge role in the success of this team. The early Heisman Trophy favorite (+800) dazzled during his redshirt freshman campaign in 2020. This included All-Big 12 honors as well as the Big 12 MVP trophy while Rattler threw for 3,031 yards and 28 touchdowns. He also added six touchdowns on the ground.
The Sooners also bring back an experienced roster with 48 upperclassmen and several standouts on the defensive end. Leading tackler (39 solo, 27 assisted) linebacker Brian Asamoah returns in addition to a pair of the best pass rushers, OLB Nik Bonitto (9.0 sacks, 11.5 tackles for loss) and DL Isaiah Thomas (7.5 sacks, 12.0 tackles for loss).
Oklahoma fans should be excited about next season as the Sooners also enter with the fifth-best odds (+800) to take home a National Championship, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
