Updated (10:30 a.m. EST, Monday Oct. 26): Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly torn his ACL, knocking him out for the remainder of the season. Jarvis Landry should receive a significant uptick in both volume and fantasy value. Rashard Higgins is now an interesting pickup on the waiver wire as well.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. went down with a knee injury in his Week 7 meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals, and he was quickly ruled out.
This injury obviously erases his fantasy outlook for the rest of Week 7, and being ruled out quickly means he's at risk of missing more time as well. That should be a huge boost for Jarvis Landry's fantasy football value.
Jarvis Landry Fantasy Football Outlook
Landy will be the Browns' clear-cut WR1 while Beckham is on the shelf. His volume hasn't been anything to write home about this season (33 targets through his first six games), but that still has him tied for second on the team.
Beckham will free up 42 targets (a team-high 25.0% share), and even though Landry won't absorb all of the looks, Beckham's absence should have Landry's target share climb to at least 25.0%, and probably even higher.
Rashard Higgins Fantasy Outlook
Beyond OBJ and Landry, no Browns wideout has more than 6 targets (Rashard Higgins and KhaDarel Hodge) on the year, but Higgins would probably step into the starting lineup if Beckham misses any time.
He wouldn't be a reliable fantasy option in that scenario, but he'd be a viable play if you're in a deep league or in desperate need of WR help.
Beyond the wideouts, the Browns' tight ends could also all see an uptick in volume if Beckham misses any time.
Keep an eye out for news on the severity of the injury, because it has the potential to really shake up the fantasy outlook in the Cleveland offense.
