All signs point to Odell Beckham Jr. suiting up for the first time this season when the Cleveland Browns host the Chicago Bears in Week 3 NFL action. His latest injury update solidifies his status as the wide receiver in no longer listed on the injury report. This boosts his fantasy outlook on Sunday.
Odell Beckham Jr. Fantasy Outlook
Beckham has finally worked his way back from a torn ACL suffered midway through the 2020 season. Keep in mind that wideout Jarvis Landry is now on the injured reserve due to a knee injury. That means the opportunity is present for Beckham to become quarterback Baker Mayfield's go-to target.
The 28-year-old played in 7 games last season before going down and posted 319 yards and 3 touchdowns on 23 receptions. Overall, Beckham has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in every season in which he has played at least 12 games and averages 14.0 yards per catch in his career.
While the Chicago Bears may have a solid defense, they have been up-and-down against the pass in 2021. In fact, they have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing WRs so far. This is a matchup Beckham can exploit and the team has been adamant that he wouldn't suit up until he was fully healthy.
The three-time Pro Bowler should be slotted right into the starting lineup in fantasy football leagues. Beckham has great FLEX upside this week and checks in at WR33 in The Duel's Week 2 fantasy football rankings. He could even sneak into WR2 territory if the volume is there.
