Opening Day is still about a month away, but some bettors are already looking ahead to the futures market. Currently, the New York Yankees lead the odds to win the 2020 World Series (+375), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

After winning the AL East with a 103-59 record, the Yankees came up just short last season, falling to the Houston Astros in the ALCS. But after re-tooling this offseason, headlined by the signing of Gerrit Cole, the Yankees look poised to make a deep postseason run.

The Los Angeles Dodgers (+430) are second in the odds to win the 2020 World Series, following a disappointing NLDS exit to the now-World Series champion Washington Nationals. The Dodgers finished the regular season with an NL-best 106-56 record, and the addition of Mookie Betts could make Los Angeles even more dangerous in 2020.

Washington, meanwhile, has the fifth-best odds to repeat, at +1700.

Rounding out the top five in the odds to win the 2020 World Series, the Houston Astros have the third-best odds (+650), and the Atlanta Braves check in with the fourth-best odds at +1400.

Even though the Yankees have the edge right now, these odds will likely continue to shift as we approach Opening Day.
